In the news!

An article about our event at Humura Centre (a day care centre for physially and mentally disabled children) can be found in Rwanda's most circulated English newspaper The New Times here. It includes a photo of me alongside Miss Kigali!

Thanks for keeping us in touch during your travels. It may be a silly question, but what language do they use for teaching in schools there?

Steve, Rwanda used to be officially French-speaking and French was taught at schools. Since 1994 English has become the official language and most schools are bilinguil. There are many Rwandans currently in leadership who grew up in Uganda and can thus not speak French which has had a strong influence on decision making around language.

In Burundi French remains the official national language.
